On our last night we wanted to go somewhere a little bit more special. My favourite place is Oliva, but Mum and Dad said I needed to try Bakus because it was just as good.


All dressed up we arrived at Bakus and just as Mum and Dad had promised, we were treated to an evening of delicious food.


We cheers-ed to our last night and to what a wonderful little holiday we’d had.


A little entrée to begin.

Followed by the starters.

I started with a delicious seafood soup, which was more like a stew, with juicy king prawns!


Whilst mum went for carpaccio,


(bit of an eyeful there Mum!)

and Dad went for asian style seared beef with a soy sauce.


Mains soon followed.

The dishes were all a perfect fusion between Asian and Mediterranean cuisine.

Dad went for a duck spring rolls with dauphinoise potatoes in a red wine jus.


Mum went for crispy pork topped with bacon and flowers on a bed of mash.

I went for Cod with sticky coconut rice, a creamy tomato sauce and spring greens.


It was so, sooooo good.

After a little bit of a break my pudding stomach started to rumble so Mum and I decided we could squeeze in a dessert or two..


I mean who can turn down a white chocolate fondant!?


It had a deliciously gooey, molten, white chocolate, caramely centre.


Oh and lets not forget the salted caramel ice cream!

*Mouth waters* Ummm it was delicious.

Accompanied by a more palate cleansing trio of sorbets.


Fit to burst we paid our dues and said our goodbyes.

Bakus won me over! Definitely a must if you happen to find yourself in Nerja. The restaurant was beautiful, the food delicious, the service top notch and the company…well that was alright too!!

Our final day was just spent relaxing, wandering around the Balcón and soaking up the last of the sun, so I’ll leave it there for my new year Spain posts. It was such a lovely way to start the year, and hopefully a sign of good things to come this year!
